Historic Buildings
We are passionate about buildings of historical importance because we believe that these buildings form an essential part of Ireland’s architectural culture so they must be protected and cherished.
We believe that we as Facilities Managers of these important buildings have a crucial role to play in correctly maintaining them and it is vital that we are suitably experienced and competent to avoid poor decision making which can result in irreversible and costly damage being done.
Some examples of our previous experiences with buildings of historic importance are as follows:
- Client representative for the project management of the restoration of large Georgian and Victorian houses for residential and commercial use
- Scoping out of a contract to appoint an experienced firm of conservation architects to develop a comprehensive conservation programme for a landmark building in Dublin and subsequent application for a Section 57 declaration of historical importance
- Facilities management of a 12th century castle in partnership with a county council conservation architect
- Hard services facilities management of three protected structure, landmark theatre buildings
We have a close partnership with a well-established Irish CMMS and IOT system (https://azollasoftware.com/) because we know how essential this technology is for efficient and effective Facilities Management but we are also experienced in mobilising and using other well-known CAFM systems.
Our Managing Director has over twenty years’ experience working with buildings of historical importance, is passionate about the importance of correct long-term maintenance of these buildings and is a registered member of the Irish Georgian Society so please contact us directly for more information.
