Our Managing Director, who is a Chartered Building Services Engineer and Certified Energy Auditor, has more than 20 years’ experience managing energy services and utilities on behalf of commercial organisations across a number of different sectors.

In the past, the management of Energy in commercial buildings simply entailed the approval of the payment of utility bills but nowadays it has become a critical part of the role of most Facilities Managers.

In most organisations a wide range of opportunities exist to reduce the financial costs of utilities and the Scope 1 and/or 2 Carbon emissions but this often requires technical expertise to achieve the required reductions without adversely affecting the business or physical comfort of their workforce.

Because most of our experience has been in FM roles in large organisations with buildings of various types, we know first-hand the consequences of poorly considered decisions so our approach is to risk assess all proposed changes before finalising a strategic “roadmap” of energy reduction measures because changes that may result in minimal benefits can also result in significant negative consequences and vice versa.

Often our clients have some level of in-house expertise in energy management so we develop bespoke packages of support to supplement that expertise while some clients also choose to seek accreditation with quality standards such as ISO 50001 for their Energy Management System (EnMS)Health so we can provide support to prepare organisations for accreditation with these standards and/or by completing independent pre-audits.
